"One kiss and love ignites at once"

Another reason to love Baci chocolates....

That's what I got tonight and its early: Dinner plans and a little wine and a 'chocolate fortune' like that....great start to an evening after a really beautiful day.

Forget TGIF - its more like TGITW!!

I swear I didn't pay for it...

Today's horoscope:

Yesterday the Sun moved into the sign of Libra and this suggests that this zodiacal month you should seek to find your true place within your employment, put your energies to constructive use, be of service to others without attaching strings or guilty feelings and even show enthusiasm when doing mundane things for those you love. What you give out is always what you'll get back! This is also the zone of work and health and all matters connected to these things and putting whatever is amiss in order at this time will bring rewards, satisfaction and maybe even a better all-round lifestyle.

(If I wasn't working so much or taking classes I swear I'd actually write more and stop copying horoscopes from the paper.

Okay - on second thought - I'd actually write as well as post copies of my horoscope.

Let's face, I can't live without my horoscopes.....)

Aiming for Bliss

A friend of mine writes a blog called "Bliss Notes" (I could attach a link but its been so long since I've done that I've forgotten how - and at the moment I'm way to lazy to figure it out...)

Anyway - in each of her news letters she asks people what gives them bliss. It got me to thinking. Yet no matter how much thinking I put into it, I couldn't think of what gives me bliss. I tried to think back in time, but still couldn't come up with anything.

I figured that probably wasn't a good thing.

From the time my friend started her newsletters I've been hoping that I'd come across something blissful to tell her about. Since that hasn't really transpired, I decided I'd at least start 'the journey' (I so hate the nouveau term, but it kind of works at the moment...) on the road to bliss and hopefully would stumble across something.

So not quite there yet, but I have made some progress. What's happened is that although I've always known that I'm not perfect - I've stopped trying to be. I've also stopped trying to pretend I'm tough and unhurtable - to the dismay of some around me. I've become more honest about how I feel and you know what? Instead of people deciding I'm too much work (well, except for one) people have been fabulous.

I've magically discovered new friends - apparently I mean a lot more to people than I realise. I've been the recipient of spontaneous hugs and kind words and impromptu phone calls and its meant a lot.

So although I'm not in a state of bliss yet, I've discovered I have an awful lot to be thankful for. I'll keep reminding myself of that and I'm guessing it won't be long before I stumble across something....

My Wish Necklace

When I was home, I got the coolest thing: a wish necklace.

I can't find the card which gives all of the directions/instructions, but the basic premise is that when you put it on, you make a wish and when the string it is on breaks, your wish will come true.

So not only did the whimsy of it appeal to me, but its also a pretty cute necklace. (Anyone who knows me knows I'm addicted to jewelry of all kinds - and currently it is necklaces that are most prevalent in the collection...)

So I made my wish.

The string hasn't broken yet, but last week I took it off.

I don't know what's worse: giving up or wishing for something that will never happen.

I guess I do know the answer to that one - which is why I took it off.

"talking bout last night"

Who sings that? Is that Roy Orbison? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to look it up...

So, back to last night.

Met a boy. He was nice. He made me laugh. He made me feel attractive.

Could be something. Could be nothing. Whatever it was, it felt real nice.

Needed that...
